📚Educators101

Privacy Policy

Effective date: March 2026

Overview

Educators101 provides free browser-based tools for students and teachers. We are committed to your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect (very little), what we do with it (nothing), and your rights.

No Personal Data Collection

We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. You are not required to create an account, provide an email address, or submit any identifying information to use any tool on this site. All tools run entirely within your browser.

How Tools Work

All calculations, text processing, and tool functionality happen locally in your browser using JavaScript. Text you type into the Word Counter, flashcards you create, timer settings, and all other inputs are processed on your device and never sent to our servers. The only exception is the AI Quiz Generator, which sends your pasted notes to our server API to generate quiz questions via the Claude AI model. Notes are not stored after the response is returned.

Local Storage

The Flashcard Maker saves your flashcards in your browser's localStorage so they persist between sessions. This data stays entirely on your device. We have no access to it. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser's site data.

Cookies

We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or analytics cookies. We do not use third-party advertising networks. We do not fingerprint your device.

Analytics

We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand general site traffic (e.g. page views, country of origin). If used, this data is aggregated and contains no personally identifiable information.

Third-Party Services

The Citation Generator uses the CrossRef public API to retrieve article metadata from DOIs. No personal data is sent — only the DOI string you enter. The AI Quiz Generator uses the Anthropic Claude API. Your pasted notes text is sent to generate questions and is not retained after the response.

Children's Privacy

Our tools are designed for students of all ages. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Because we collect no personal data at all, our tools are safe for use by students of any age.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with the effective date updated. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
